Rankett has been keeping a stash of cookie dough in the fridge waiting for the perfect opportunity to bake up the delightful Trio Chocolate cookies from Baked by Mum. What better time than during the holidays when there are happy children visiting and an afternoon treat is in order. These cookies were so easy to prepare and so lovely to consume! They were a real hit with the kids (and adults too we must confess!). Here are our ten steps to yummy cookies - and yes it really is as easy as it looks.
1. Purchase Cookie Dough
The first step to yummy cookies is to grab your favourite cookie dough flavour from Baked by Mum. You can order online or take a visit to a local market where Baked by Mum is visiting too, or pop into a stockist if one is nearby.
2. Preheat Oven
Step two is simple: Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
3. Open the Bag!
Let the fun begin. Opening the bag and smelling the lovely chocolate cookie dough is almost as fun as eating them. Well not really, but it's pretty lovely and exciting!
4. Slice the Dough Lengthways
Now it's time to slice the dough lengthways into two. If you want even sized cookies then take care at this stage to cut as close down the middle as you can so the two halves are even. Take a look at all those decadent chocolate bits!
5. Slice Across
Next, line up the two long halves alongside each other - now slice across into ten. That means you'll have twenty slices all up as you cut each half into ten slices each.
6. Roll into Balls
Now it's time to take each piece and roll it into a ball. Once the dough warms up in your hand a little, it's super easy to make lovely round shapes.
7. Bake for 12 Minutes
Place the cookie balls onto a baking tray and cook for approximately 12 minutes. If you've decided to make extra large or extra small cookies, remember to adjust the cooking time up or down accordingly.
8. Allow to Cool
As hard as it might seem, you really must allow the cookies to cool. They are so jammed packed full of chocolate that they need time to firm up. Back away from the tray!
9. Remove from Tray
Once the cookies have cooled a little, remove them from the tray. Store left over cookies in an air tight container. But be warned, you are unlikely to have any spares as they are super yum and will be gobbled up in no time!
10. Enjoy!
Step 10 is of course to make yourself a hot drink to have with your fresh 'Baked by Mum' cookies. Enjoy!
PS Did you know that Baked by Mum also has a gluten free range! Check out the flavours here.
